Check-in & Luggage at Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN)

At Cologne/Bonn Airport, departures are spread across two terminals connected via a central marketplace and walkways – the walk between them takes only a few minutes. Knowing which terminal your airline departs from saves time.

Which Airline at Which Terminal?

  • Terminal 1: Eurowings, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and Ryanair.
  • Terminal 2: all other airlines, including TUIfly.

Check your terminal before travelling on your ticket or boarding pass – both terminals share the address Kennedystraße, 51147 Cologne.

Check-in and Baggage Drop

Online Check-in and Baggage Drop Machines

  • Use your airline's online check-in where possible and avoid queuing at the counter.
  • At the baggage drop machines (Self-Bag-Drop) in Terminal 1 and 2, scan your boarding pass, print the baggage label and place your suitcase on the belt yourself.
  • Self-Bag-Drop is offered by, among others, Eurowings, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and Ryanair.

Practical Tips

  • During peak times (start of school holidays, weekends) arrive at the terminal early.
  • Check your checked baggage allowance and carry-on dimensions with the airline in advance – especially for low-cost fares.
